What sizes of units do you have?

At most locations our standard sizes are 5×10’s, 10×10’s, 10×15’s, 10×20’s and 10×30’s, up to 20x50. Understanding the right size for your needs is easy with our online storage guide.

How do I rent a unit?

All Stor-A-Way facility’s units can be rented at the main office on Miller Avenue in Marion, Indiana from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 1pm on Saturday. You can also call your local Stor-A-Way facility and schedule a time to meet the manager at the facility to rent your unit. We also have 24-hour rental at our kiosk locations.

Can I rent a unit online?

Yes.

Do you charge a deposit or administrative fee when a unit is rented?

No, we do not charge a deposit or administrative fee.

Do I have to sign a long-term lease?

No, our leases are month to month.

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of the month.

Do you charge a late fee?

Any balance that is over $11.00 will be charged a $10.00 late fee on the 8th of the month.

What happens if my account is delinquent?

Tenant will be locked out after the 7th of the month if the current months’ rent is unpaid. Lien process begins on accounts 60 days past due. Contents of unit will be sold on 90 day accounts to satisfy the past due balance. Any remaining balance on the unit will be turned over to collections if not paid within 30 days.

Do I have to provide my own lock?

Yes, you must provide you own lock. We sell heavy duty padlocks for $8.00 each, and disc locks for $9.00 each.

Do you sell any moving supplies?

Yes, we sell mattress covers and dust covers.

What are my payment options?

We accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. You can mail your payment, pay online, or we can automatically bill your credit or debit card each month. You may also make your payment at one of our 24-hour kiosk locations for those specific locations only.

What are your office hours?

Our main office at 711 North Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.

What are your gate hours?

We offer 24-hour access.

Is insurance required?

No. Although our lease asks that you have insurance to cover your belongings that are stored at our facility, it is not required. We do offer insurance from a third party company.

What does insurance cost?

The insurance that we offer costs $9.00 a month for $2,000 coverage, $13.00 a month for $3,000 coverage, $21.00 a month for $5,000 coverage, or $30.00 a month for $7,500 coverage. Additional coverage is available.

What does insurance cover?

Our third party insurance covers break-ins, fire damage, smoke and/or water damage, pest damage, and mold.

What is climate control?

Climate control is an inside storage unit where we control the temperature. The temperature is kept between 60 and 80 degrees all year around. Perfect for keeping antiques, records, pictures, and electronics. Stor-A-Way offers climate controlled units at select locations.

Do you provide movers?

No, we are a storage facility only.

Do you have rv/boat/car/motorcycle parking?

Yes, both inside and outside parking is available.

What do I need to do to move out?

We ask that you give us a 5 day notice, make sure your unit is empty, swept out, and your lock is removed. We check our facilities every morning for vacated units.
